“Dear John, I worked at the Cotswold from August 77 to November 80, straight from University, and I often say I learnt more at the community than doing my degree. I’m in reflective mood as I am 70 tomorrow! A search about Richard Balbernie led me to your excellent website.
My work at the Cotswold led to a 37 year social work career, including a CQSW at Sheffield Univerrsity; 15 years with Suffolk Social Services before 13 years as a Children’s Guardian. The Cotswold was my grounding for any good work I did later. I wish you well.”
